PUBLIC ART
Embodies the interconnectedness of time and the enduring spirit of the Sycamore Hill community – it honors the past, celebrates the present, and ignites hope for the boundless potential of the future. The artwork portrays an intergenerational connection. To the left, an elder gaze with wisdom and hope towards the future and aspirations of the youth. The symbolisms used transcend time, serving as a reminder that the past continues to inform and guide the future. A key element to this piece is a red string that winds through, wrapping around a sprouting seed. The color red, bold and passionate embodies the spirit of the Sycamore Hill community – courageous, strong, and resolute. This string represents a thread of continuity and the unbreakable ties between the trials and triumphs of the ancestors and the ambitions of the young.
